Snow in Egypt

I understand that my title is a bit misleading, but I wanted to mention a strange fact about my lovely husband. He loves the snow!
When we came to America, (well, I returned), we arrived first in Spokane, Washington and were driven Northward by my friend and cousin Suzii and her family to a small town called Colville. I used to hate Colville, but as I grew older and went my own way in the world, drowning in the city and burning in the desert, I realized what a true gem my hometown was. It is a beautiful little city of about five thousand people nestled in a valley in Northeast Washington State, filled with pine trees and white-tailed deer. One of it's fondest beauties, however, as my husband pointed out, is the snow. While we were there, he spent a lot of time out of doors, playing like a little boy, throwing snowballs and making snow angels. The day after we arrived, we promptly went down to Walmart to buy him a down parka, which he wore with pride, and a huge smile.
We were discussing tonight that the weather in Colville is probably pretty much the same now as it was in January when we first arrived. Karim's face lit up and a twinkle crept into his eye. We, then, began to discuss that after a year we might be able to transfer to a Hotel (in the chain) in Washington.
I think it is funny, but endearing to think of my husband, born and raised in one of the hotter countries in the world, loving the snow as much as he does, and willing to live in it. I know it sounds awful, but the idea of seeing my husband in a parka is similar to seeing a camel in a sweater.
