PeoplePC

I have just learned that the account we had with PeoplePC was not cancelled as I had requested over the phone four months ago, and charges, unbeknownst to us have been taken out of our account. When I spoke, rather heatedly with ten different people at PeoplePC, THEY came to the conclusion that I hadn't been RESPONSIBLE enough to get a confirmation number. However, if the guy that I had requested the cancellation from had cancelled my account instead of continuing it, I would have been given a confirmation number, now, wouldn't I? And since when do you need a confirmation number to cancel anything? They will not refund the money they have removed from the account without a confirmation number, which, if they can get away without giving it out, they will. At any rate, I am no longer advocating the use of a second rate company like this one (PeoplePC), which is VERY SLOW dial-up anyhow. I hated using it because whenever I was online, it knocked me off any number of times, to my great frustration. I could never finish anything once!
Any suggestions on how we can get the money they refuse to refund to us returned? Anyone?
