Few and Far Between
This week will be a scant week for "Just Thinkin'" posts as this old gal will be working her hiney off at the store AND trying to prepare for our own meager Thanksgiving at home. I have had a tough time writing this week because it has been over two weeks since I've had a day off. (I will only be getting Thursday off because of the holiday. The store will be closed!) THEN, on Friday, for those who are bargain sensitive, we will be too busy at the store to even notice that we need to breathe.
There have already been signs (premonitions, if you will) as to what Friday will be like, and I'm already afraid. It seems that this is the time of year that they let all the nuts out of the tree, and they flock to Anna's en masse like a cloud of locusts, touch, disarrange, and destroy everything, then leave, as if what they've destroyed was defective before they touched it. Crazy people. They're all crazy. I want to sleep now.
I also wanted to mention that Karim had his last day at work last night, and everything went off without a hitch. It seems that the boss was "bluffing" when he was talking about this interrogation that I previously posted about. My theory is that he just wanted to see what Karim would do. If Karim quit early, (which he didn't), then, perhaps the boss felt that he wouldn't have to pay him. I guess it doesn't matter. Karim is a better man than his previous boss will ever be, and that's the truth. He will start in his new job on Wednesday, which only goes to show that prayer is a powerful and wonderful tool!
Peace to all! And if I don't post for Thanksgiving, which I hope to do, I wish all of you a wonderful holiday. Don't forget what you are thankful for.
