Going Blank

I can think of nothing in particular to say today. I think I may be going through a period of writer's block brought on by intense occupational stress, age issues and fasting, but I must persist. I must push on in spite of the cerebral obstacles which means you, my unsuspecting readers will be getting the worst of my brain. Therefore, in the absence of any thought process, I feel the need to substitute with photos. (well, A photo to be precise).
I call it..."Persian Carpet"...(for obvious reasons). This Kitty is called "Many"...not "many" as in "more than a few", more like "Manny". (His original name was "Snowball".) He is a sweet thing. Karim would bring him upstairs to our apartment from "HIS" apartment (Karim's family's apartment) to "visit" with Pepita, our kitty, when we lived in Alexandria. Pepita, being somewhat territorial as all women must be, hissed and puffed and "Rowred" from under her chair, while Many simply sat, just like the photo, staring back at her from under his chair. It was really a one-sided argument. He didn't care where he was. He is the kind of kitty that allows children to lay on him, pull on him and chase after him. He is as big as a beagle and sleeps a lot. Technically, he is really a dog in Persian Cat's clothing...without the slobber. He is the cat that the character from Peanuts, Freda, carries around with her.
As adorable as Many is, he still doesn't match up to our Pepita. Personality is personality, and a cat that simply "lays there" and takes it is a "dead" cat. Pepita was wild, impetuous, self-secure and human. Any cat that sits on top of a cupboard to watch it's servants from on high must have some character.
I love cats. Cats are self-sufficient (except when it comes to changing the litter box...NOW!), don't require a bath, and refuse to beg at the table (they simply hop up there and take what's their's when no one is in the room!) It's time for another kitty in this family. I'm thinking that if the complex will take payments on that enormous deposit they require for pets, I might do it.
